Rosie O’Donnell Gets Her Own Show on Oprah TV

She’s baaaaack! Rosie O’Donnell is returning to daytime TV with a show on Oprah Winfrey’s startup network, OWN. In a statement released Thursday, Winfrey said viewers can expect a “fun, uplifting show with Ms. O’Donnell’s playful and energetic style.”

There was no announcement on the show’s name or when it will debut, but Rosie has already outlined the game plan for her new series. In an interview earlier this year, she told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ that it will be “a single topic, hour-long show about life, love and laughter.”

O’Donnell added that there won’t be a desk or stars promoting their upcoming projects. “It’s gonna be a lot different, because I’m a lot older, you know. It’ll be a dozen years since leaving my own show when we go back on the air and I’ve grown a lot and I think that it’s time,” she said.

In Sept. 2006, O’Donnell returned to daytime as a panelist on ABC’s ‘The View,’ and was the subject of much controversy, including a highly publicized feud with Donald Trump. A few months later, she engaged in an on-air spat with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck over the Iraq War, which led to O’Donnell’s abrupt and permanent departure from the show.

In the past year or so, O’Donnell has filmed guest spots on a number of popular TV series, including Lifetime’s ‘Drop Dead Diva,’ ‘Nip/Tuck’ and the HBO comedy ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm.’

LIMON CO (IFS) How does one bring together Frank Sinatra and NFL Football? – go to http://www.blogtalkradio.com/kdtnradioone – for the answers. Mean while below is a story about football.

Brett Farve – Please Retire with the quicknest

As a former NFL tryout wanna be when I was a young adonis looking piece of meat, and I got a chance of a lifetime to tryout for the denver broncos of the afl back in 1968. My coach had gotten his chance to coach on the pro level and he jumped at it. He also had a chance to take with him a couple of outstanding players to the tryouts – no guarantees.

My draft number was 128. And for once, I had a chance to reflex back at how I got involved with football. it was at time when there was no war at that time. we had 350 u.s. army advisors in a place they called french indo-china.

the most watched team of any sport as this time, was an afl football team that dressed itself in black and white. and their motto was “just win baby”, and as I was watching this team dressed in back and white and loosing 41-14 with only less than two minutes to play in the game, and the stands being emptied, and the announcer telling the remaing tv audience that they were breaking for a tidy bold commercial that ran for three of those two minutes, and with the announcer coming back on the air just screaming that this team who as loosing at the break has now suddenly won the game 42-41. and at this point in time, i just said what?

I remember dancing to Mary Wells, and I was her guy. I remember that beauty was only skin deep – yea yea yea!

I remember really impressive football players with the likes of Otis Taylor of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Cookie Gilchrists’ of the denver broncos, jim brown of the cleveland browns, unlikely football heros like billy white shoes johnson, and today i remember real players like brett farve and sir, it comes a time for all things, of cabbages, of candle wax and of kings.

And one king of that day was one francis sinatra. I had a very good find a couple of days ago. while going to a couple of garage sales, digging through several piles of cd’s, at the very bottom of the box, i happened to pull out this copy of sinatra’s my way. I expected to find the cd full of releases of his album ‘ my way’. but instead, i was shocked to find that this cd was a small collection of interviews by dj’s, family and friends entitled ‘my way – in conversation’ that was not endorsed by sinatra or his family.

and as a gift, i want to share with you, a couple of tracks or what i thank are key interviews. and so I give you Mr. Frank Sinatra – the interview.
